The Modern Atlanta Dance (MAD) Festival was a great success! Once again, it was a privilege for Full Radius Dance to host the wonderful companies and artists that participated in the sixteenth annual festival. Sixteenth annual festival? It can't be -- why I would have had to been eight years old when I founded this event!

The Festival was reviewed by Cynthia Bond-Perry, who had this to say about the premiere of our excerpt from "Walking on My Grave": "host company Full Radius Dance cast an eerie glow of macabre beauty...." and "the ensuing duets seemed like rolling, rotating conversations between the living and the dead." You can read the complete review, as well as other reviews of Atlanta dance, theatre, music and visual art events at http://www.artscriticatl.com/.

We are now working on a new work from which an excerpt will be presented at the Inman Park Dance Festival (April 24 & 25). Entitled "Bar Songs", it looks at the brief relationships formed among strangers in the smoky confines of well-worn, disreputable establishment. Here's a quick look at the very first rehearsal of one movement section - mind you, it is still very rough:

The dancers are JoJo Butler, Laurel Lawson, Paulo Manso De Sousa and Onur Topal-Sumer. Stay tuned for further updates!
